Find a Primary Care Provider
A primary care provider (PCP) is a health care professional who provides general medical care and is usually the first person you see for a health issue or question, and for routine care. PCPs can be doctors, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants. Getting established with a primary care provider is the first step towards better health.
We understand that many people (especially those from other countries or cultures) may not be familiar with this method of care. Many may seek care for minor medical services in an emergency room. This is not only costly, but it can result in delayed care and long waits for healthcare services.
A primary care provider is the person you will see for most of your regular appointments. Having one person who is your main contact for your healthcare can save time and money. It also ensures that you are getting the best care possible
Our primary care providers work with you and with other medical professionals right here in the clinic (and beyond) to create a plan for your healthcare. They can provide routine check-ups, vaccines, regular preventative cancer screenings, see you if you are sick or injured, and will help you develop a plan for ongoing treatment of chronic conditions. They get to know you and your preferences and they listen to your concerns and work with you to help you stay healthy and happy.
If you don't already have a primary care provider, you can explore more about our providers on the Our Providers page. Or, if you prefer, call us and explain that you would like to establish primary care at Peoples Clinic. We will make you an appointment with a provider who we recommend to start your successful healthcare journey.
